Paula Soto, LCSW, ERYT, CCTP, CCFP, YACEP* is a social worker and yoga teacher with two decades of experience empowering individuals and communities toward wellness. Noting a lack of effective services for people impacted by trauma, Paula founded Intersections Wellness in 2012 to make the physical and mental health benefits of yoga and mindfulness accessible to the community. Paula divides her time between her private psychotherapy practice, community social work, and training mental health professionals and yoga teachers.
Ms. Soto specializes in the treatment of trauma/abuse, anxiety, depression, women’s issues, and adolescents, and is trained in EMDR therapy. Her approach is humanistic, based on the belief that each of us has an inherent drive toward health and wholeness; and each person is worthy of compassion and acceptance. Ms. Soto offers therapy in a private office, conveniently located in downtown Beaver, Pennsylvania. She has developed wellness programs or conducted classes, workshops or trainings for many populations, including: at-risk children; survivors of domestic violence; people in substance abuse recovery; people in mental health recovery; drug and alcohol counseling professionals; psychotherapists, and the general public.
